So does the wild asparagus.

This is also the time that merkels/morels are found in the forest. Eddie was lucky enough to find a small patch of them (enough for one meal) before they dried up. Boy, was it a great meal!
Living the Country Life My Way
I am definitely a country girl that loves to garden, quilt, preserve, hunt, and read. I love my family more than anything in the world. I live with my husband of fifty years. We have a son, daughter, granddaughter and grandson. We live on a 500+ acre farm in Virginia with about 75 cows & bulls, thirty chickens, and three dogs.

Yum! I love asparagus. I’m going to put my hummingbird feeders out today!! I hope some come back! I just love them! I enjoy sitting on your front porch watching them fight over the food!

No I never got any. Not sure where I would even put. You gave me some a few years but they never took off. No worries š

I thought you were gonna talk about hostas. I was thinking about some in my front flower bed.

You will love hostas, hardly any work, shade or sun or both and gorgeous!! I give mine some chicken manure about every other year in the fall.
